A Vous La Parole
A Vous La Parole is the Minnesota French Speaking Contest. I recited a poem from memory called "Et ce soir la." After reciting my poem and watching my friends recite their poems/ sing a song, we all got to hang out at the U of M all day. We went to the bookstore and I tried to slide down a railing. However the railing had little clamps on it, so I fell off. Nearyroth laughed at me, but it was still fun to slide down the pole.
Then we had lunch a Baja Sol and went back to school. The Festival was fun and a million times better than school. Also, I got a white medal AND a certificate of participation. Now that's what I call winning.

Prom
Prom was weird for me. I almost never wear makeup or dresses, but it was fun and I felt pretty. And high heels were another challenge entirely. I felt and walked like a clumsy Frankenstein.
Prom was so much fun!!! Our group consisted of 22 people! That was a bit much, but it all worked out. After my individual pictures at home- I didn't have a date- I went to Isaac's house. Then, we were all going to go to the Peace Garden, but it started raining. At first we were all bummed, but then we just went to the Guthrie Theater instead.
After that, we went to Hell's kitchen for supper. I had BBQ pork sandwich and it was delicious. It came with fries, and I decided to try it with their homemade Ketchup. The ketchup tasted like Cinnamon applesauce. Which is fine if you want apple sauce and not ketchup. So that bummed me out. Then we decided to walk 3 city blocks to the convention center, in heels, and rain.
When we finally arrived and walked in, I expected, well I'm not sure what I expected, but I did not expect a plain old boring convention center hall, with tables, fake flowers and no other decorations. Then there was the dancing. Most people think that it will be slow with a few upbeat songs. Nope it was like a club. Fast music, everybody grinding on everyone else. It was fun, just not what I expected. I just wish that it was decorated better, because I don't mind dirty dancing.
After prom (7:30-11) we went back to Isaac's house, and just hung out and fell asleep. We're such party animals.

Graphic Design
My graphic design class is awesome. We get to spend almost the whole hour on the computer. The requirements for the class include making 3 t-shirt designs, and some photoshop activities. I can't wait. Of course, we aren't to the t-shirts yet, however I finished my cover page and my practice Mrs. Potato head.
Actually I think it is maybe a squash head. Or something, but it's still cute. Whatever it is.
Her is my first cover page. We had to include two of our favorite movies and I decided to us Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Tangled. After finishing, I decided it was to cutesy, so I made another one.

This one is The Dark Knight and The Green Lantern. I like it much better, but which one do you like?

UGH!!!
I haven't posted in a while, but I've been feeling so blah lately. And yes I used blah as an adjective, get over it. So what shall I blog about? My annoying sister? Trying to fix my dad's car the other day when it broke at walmart? Softball? At the moment softball seems like the easiest thing to rant about, and ranting is all I will be doing.

Last year, I played every other game, then sat on the bench, but I was a sophomore, so I was just paying my dues. Then at the section tournament (playoffs), I did amazing and was named all-section. All-section means you are one of the best players in the section and about 20 girls get it (from 8 teams). The only other person on my team named all-section was Michelle. I also had the second highest balling average at 0.419 (only behind Michelle).
Flash forward to this year. I'm sitting on the bench. Again. I'm batting 7th, and according to my coaches, I do everything wrong. It makes me want to cry, and quit, but I want to play softball in college. Also, I don't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing that they, the coaches got to me. I just don't know what to do or how to change the situation.
I know I'm a good player, but to go to practice everyday and work my butt off just to sit and get yelled at. It's disheartening and I'm sick of it. I put up with it for two years, bidding my time, and dreaming of being a junior and finally getting the respect and playing time I deserve, but it's not happening. I don't think I'm being a baby, or being egotistical, or pretending I'm better than I actually am. And I don't have to play every game, I just wish I knew what the coaches were thinking, if they are thinking at all.
Sorry for ranting at you, but now that that is out of my system, maybe you will get some more fun and interesting posts. Or not, but I will start posting more often.
Love a frustrated and disheartened
