Snow Day!!!

No School! It's a miracle. Our school district has not called a snow day in 5 years. They always have a reason to stay open. Last winter 8 kids spun out on their way to school, but we still had school. However today we had off! I slept in, made a snowman, and have no homework to do!!! I also made pancakes for breakfast. It's a leap year miracle.

One downer about the snow is that it broke off many branches of our tree, but the tree doesn't look like it has any gaping holes, and it made a beautiful picture!

Have a wonderful day! Just like me!
I think it is time to watch a movie...

Cousin It!

Or I guess I should say Sister it. She is such a dork, but I love her...Sometimes. Lately she has been getting on my nerves, but I guess that is just sisterly love! Or hate. Whatever, I'm better than her. Much better.

Crazy Days!

Lately I've been feeling like a chicken with my head cut off, There are just so many things going on! basketball, school, chores. It makes me want to scream!!!
However, today was nice and relaxing. Instead of basketball practice, our whole team made posters and went to the adapted floor hockey game, because two of their players (Jeff and Tyler) come to every single one of our games. Those guys are the best fans, and supurb hockey players! Our Mustangs beat St. Cloud 12-4. Afterwards, we gave our posters to the players and they were so excited. I love all of them, and I had an exciting time in the stands with my team. GO SCHOOL SPIRIT!

Love a stressed and estatic

Bullying

A few days ago a rolling stones article came out about the gay bulling in my school district. It is called One town's war on Gay Teens. I cried as I read it. A lot of controversy has been sparked by this article, but to me, a student in the Anoka-Hennipin school district, it seemed pretty accurate. Of course, I am not gay, and I don't go to Anoka high school, I go to Coon Rapids high school. However, I hear stories, and see the bulling. Since some of the suicides, there are a lot of anti-bulling posters and many assemblies on suicide prevention, which they don't talk about in the article, but I feel as none of the school districts efforts have actually helped. Not everyone up here is anti-gay and bullies, but there are many "rednecks" that are very stubborn, close minded and rude. I wish everyone could just accept other people's life choices, and I also wish that nobody was driven to feel that suicide was the only option. I don't know any of the kids who killed themselves, but I have friends, who could be on that path. We give them help, but the only real solution is for certain people to just shut their mouths and walk away.

If you don't like gays, or blacks, or whites, or mexicans, or fat people, or people who wear dresses, or blondes, or me, or anybody, just walk away. Nobody is gaining anything when insulting and other incidents occur. Also if someone is having a bad day, talk to them, and if anyone says they are going to kill themselves, even if they say there are joking, take it seriously and help them out.

I love you all, and the world would be worse if any of you died!

Dogsled Ride!

An amazing adventure through the Alaskan wilderness! A race with the wind whipping through your hair! A journey with amazing dogs! Or a 5 minutes ride in a circle... It was a little disappointing, but really fun. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience I'm glad I did with my cousin Tyler. The dogs were so cute! and fluffy! and amazing!

Love a cold and excited

Poetry Craze!

Yup I wrote another poem. In fact I had to read/ sing it in front of the class. They liked it but I almost died. I don't mind reading, it was the sing. I know, You are asking, "Singing?!?" but you will understand better once you read my poem. Let's just say I am not the next American idol.

Walking through the forest
I decided to stop and lie down.
Hey!
Don’t crush me!

Squinting and barely seeing anything
I asked, Who
or what
are you?

I AM! Well…
I am Mr. Rogensworth
the Centipede.
What are you doing down there?

Well… da da da
Wait…
Are you going to sing?
Yup! da da da
I was once a lone-ly
Cen-ti-pede
but I dreamed of more!
So now I will be-come a butter-fly
and soar… the… world…

I see…

Can I come with?
Only if you believe
Believe…
in what?

Well…da da da
There are craters
of Twinkies and mountains galore
in store for you
only if you believe…
Believe in What?!?

Well… da da da
There are cotton candy
twisters and talk-ing cows
only if you believe…
Why won’t you tell me
in what to believe?

Well… da da da
If I can’t be a butter-fly
then all I say will be a lie
unless if you believe…
SPLAT!

Thusly I continued on my walk
dreaming of all the lies
Mr. Rogensworth sang about.
